So, we’re world #7 – that’s pretty bloody cool!

Some of our team numbers from 2025;

  • 152 Days Off Property – That’s 40% of the whole year that we were away from home in some capacity!

  • 31 BE & International Events

  • 152 BE & International Rides across x3 athletes

  • 5 National Wins

  • 30 National Top 5s - Across 12 different horses

  • 4 International Wins - all at 4* level (which is incredible!) - Not to mention the 2nd, 2nd, and 3rd places at Royal Jump and Strzegom behind own horses!

  • 21International Top 10s - Across 9 different horses and x3 different athletes

I’m so proud of the way we have consistently punched out results that go beyond what anyone would predict at the start of so many of our target events.

And on so many different upper level horses.

X7 of them in fact – we campaigned x7 4* horses this year (8 if you include Lexi and Kelli). That is quite something isn’t it! No wonder it felt like we were everywhere all at once!

 Sadly our highs have been overshadowed by some lows towards the end of this year.

We’ve had some injuries on the yard which has made for a tough time for our team. Whilst having so many horses at the top level is bound to lead to more injuries, we also acknowledge the opportunity to learn from it.

We’ve brainstormed every possibly thing we can improve on for next year, and we hope that there is a silver lining in this for us in the long run.

I’m excited about some of the opportunities that will arise from it;

  • We are looking at working with a heart rate monitoring system which should help us to track our fitness better

  • We’ve remodelled our conditioning program

  • And we’re investigating all our work surfaces, arenas & gallops.

On to lighter news; Brayden and I are off to NZ for a short stint from the 6-22nd Dec mostly to meet my new nephew – Finn Franks!

I have really been enjoying my job at EquiRatings, we are seeing a lot of horses changing hands and it is exciting to be at the forefront of it all!

We also need to take a moment to celebrate Luca & Darcy for their Strzegom performance – what little legends! Taking out the quinella in the CCI4*L. A nice moment in time to reflect back on the spontaneous horse-buying urge from last year that resulted in Luca's purchase.

After the success of Luca this year (and Charlie previously), I've got that same urge again. I would love to produce some more horses from 3* to 4* level, and we are also looking to fill up our ranks from the bottom up by buying some 5/6yr horses. There are a couple of horses that I’ve found that I feel are going to slip past me too quickly for me to get organised – so on the off chance you’ve been thinking about getting involved but have been waiting for a sign...

Get in touch and I’ll fill you in asap.

When we get back I am already looking forward to some Winter training and the beginning of our “not-so-sunshine” tour. This involves taking the team to some stay away SJ shows in England in January and February (a lot cheaper than Spain for our owners, but that doesn’t mean we are not envious of those who get to go to real sunshine!)

2025 has been a breakthrough year for me, I have worked hard and addressed many performance factors simultaneously, whilst also operating under pressure time and time again – and I am really very proud of this.

We will really miss some of the top faces in our yard next year, we hope they can come back after some R&R in 2026 to be in action for 2027.

So we go into 2026 leaning on that bank of horsepower that I have so carefully developed over the past few years, exactly for this reason. We look towards a bright year in 2026 full of opportunity, ready to strengthen our team again.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us this year, and an even bigger thank you to the backbone of our team - you girls are amazing and I am very lucky to have you by my side.
